Dear Para Los Niños Family, 

Last night, more than 350 Angelenos came together at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel to celebrate our 2026 Annual Benefit: Meeting the Moment! The evening included our beloved tradition of Para Los Niños Elementary School 4th graders reading original poems about their families, cultures and communities. Para Los Niños Middle Schoolers mingled with guests, showcased their art interpreting the night’s theme, and delivered a hilarious set of announcements about how to stay involved. 

We honored some incredible partners who have made it possible for Para Los Niños to support families during especially challenging times: Pensieve Foods for supporting PLN in feeding food-insecure families from the COVID-19 pandemic through violent raids that cost families’ safety and livelihood; Bet Tzedek Legal Services for providing free comprehensive legal services, education and training to hundreds PLN staff and families, so that we can be there with them through some of the most difficult decisions of their lives; and, The Dr. Ruth Milman and Dr. Frederick Schiff Foundation for shaping the way our organization sees ourselves in the homelessness prevention space, allowing PLN to assist 127 families and counting.

One of the most impactful moments of the night was hearing the story of Jimena, a PLN parent, a businesswoman, and a champion for her family. Her story demonstrates how all of these pieces come together to wrap around families during their hardest moments and highest achievements. A huge shoutout to PLN’s Clinical Services team who have been, as Jimena put it, “literalmente angeles en mi familia | literal angels in my family.” Watch the story here!
