Para Los Niños has been a part of the Skid Row Community for nearly 45 years. Recently, we’ve seen a significant uptick of families experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. Family homelessness may look like multiple families living in one-bedroom apartments, families staying on friends’ and family members’ couches, or—most alarming—families with young children living on the streets in Skid Row.

In response to the growing number of families in need, PLN has met with leaders from philanthropy, government, and the media to raise awareness and advocate for solutions that are family and children centered. Please read through this heartbreaking and powerful article published by the LA Times that elevates this important, urgent issue and highlights some of our recommendations. If you would like to learn more about our work to assist families experiencing homelessness and how you can support, get involved today.

We are grateful for your support and partnership to ensure all families thrive.
