Next week, Para Los Niños Community Charter Schools will welcome nearly 600 students to start the school year. Every student comes with dreams, strengths, and curiosity. However, many students also face disadvantages – there are three times the number of students experiencing homelessness coming to our schools this fall.
Our goal this month is to raise $100 for each of the 87 students at our middle school experiencing homelessness.
To support all our students, PLN provides concrete items like clothing, backpacks, supplies, hygiene items, and snacks, and our staff provide case management, counseling, and linkages for students and families to access critical resources.
But we need your help.
This invaluable support is outside the funding PLN receives from government sources, yet we know it is vital for giving each student the holistic support every child deserves.
