Welcome, DarkWave Records fans!

Founded on Skid Row in 1980, Para Los Niños partners with thousands of L.A.’s working families to achieve their educational, emotional and economic goals. In addition to providing early education, TK-8th grade education, youth workforce services and family services, we remain the only children’s mental health provider in the Skid Row neighborhood. The need is real, and the impact is powerful. In its 46-year history, the last year has been among the most challenging for PLN families, but you can make a meaningful impact this May.

DarkWave Records is teaming up with Para Los Niños to make a positive impact on children attending PLN Elementary School by supporting our annual 5k Run/Walk across the iconic 6th St. bridge. More than 100 students are anticipated to participate, with families invited to partake in a pancake brunch, games and activities following the Run/Walk. It’s not just an opportunity to encourage kids to stay active and involved in their community, but it’s also an opportunity to show them that Angelenos support their neighbors no matter their zip code, language or style.

How the DarkWave community can help:

  1. Donate to support this event as PLN plans awards and activities and/or

  2. Sign up to volunteer and get hands-on experience engaging with kids and their families at the 5k event.
